Many of you know that my dad was in the U.S. Navy, on a submarine specifically for part of his time, which comes in handy when the newest member of our Board of Directors happens to have also served on—and commanded—submarines. Retired Rear Admiral Jay M. Cohen isn’t just an “old sailor”, this guy ran the Navy’s high tech section. Oh and then did the same thing for Homeland Security. So, if you’re looking for a guy who knows all about cyber terrorism and cyber crime, Adm. Cohen is your guy.

I’ve had the chance to talk with the Admiral several times. How freakin cool is that? Talking with a man who skipped submarines that launched nuclear missiles (on a side note, my dad wrote the Navy’s book on what happens of one of those early missiles launched, but if someone neglected to open the outer hatch). It’s a pretty amazing chance for a geek like me. I’ll have more to say about that shortly. In the mean, time, let me welcome the Admiral on board.
