Boulder, Co. – July 6, 2010 – eCrypt Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: ECRY) released today the latest version of its flagship email encryption product, eCrypt, now compatible with BlackBerry System Software version 5.0.
The new version release brings the total number of models supported by eCrypt’s email encryption software to 26.
There are currently 11 models that support the newest operating system 5.0, which allows users to enjoy new features such as enhanced email management, wireless contact synchronization, and Gmail integration, for a whole new level of productivity. Additionally, by running eCrypt on this new OS, users can now secure their contacts and emails, easily and seamlessly protecting their digital communications privacy.
“We’re excited to deliver eCrypt to a whole new segment of users that have the latest devices,” commented Brad Lever, CEO of eCrypt Technologies. “Additionally, there are legions of existing users that can now upgrade their devices and still enjoy the email privacy benefits that eCrypt delivers.”
Including previous operating systems, there are a total of 38 models offered by over 300 carriers worldwide.
With increased adoption and use of smartphones in the marketplace, users become accustomed to and reliant upon their devices for “always-on” email communication. Everyday use can lead to complacency however, and some users send confidential information via email from their mobile handsets without considering or realizing that their unsecured messages can be accessed, possibly leading to corporate fraud or identity theft and all the lost time and money that can represent. eCrypt software addresses this problem head-on by integrating into the device’s email application, and providing true point-to-point encryption, making any messages accessed without authorization impervious to prying eyes.
