Boulder, CO – September 10, 2010 – eCrypt Technologies, Inc (OTC BB:ECRY) is proud to bring to the world “Privacy Now TV”, (http://www.PrivacyNow.tv) the first comprehensive online series aimed at educating viewers on subjects such as cyber crime and identity theft, and how users can protect themselves from online threats.
Objective in its approach, Privacy Now TV offers viewers objective and useful information about protecting their identity and staying safe online. Reflecting eCrypt Technologies’ core purpose of enabling users to protect their privacy and identity online, the show is also an innovative way for the Company to increase brand awareness, and awareness of the pressing need for its products in a world increasingly filled with privacy threats.
Having soft launched in August, Privacy Now TV has released five full episodes to date, has been picked up by iTunes, and has already been featured on a variety of technology and security oriented websites. As a key part of eCrypt’s long-term marketing strategy, Privacy Now TV is at the centre of an online media ecosystem, supported by its social media presence on sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
As a media outlet, Privacy Now TV is already opening doors to industry events – such as the recent pii2010 (Privacy Identity Innovation) conference in Seattle – and influential individuals. The show has brought eCrypt to the attention of privacy experts from Google, PayPal, and various levels of government, all of whom understand, appreciate, and support the show’s and Company’s shared mission to educate the public about important privacy and security issues, and making privacy solutions available to protect them.
“One of the things we learned from our research with Vision Critical, is that people feel there isn’t enough information available about cyber crime, identity theft, and what people can do to protect themselves. We set out to find a way to centralize this information, and provide it in a way that is both insightful and easy to understand,” commented Brad Lever, CEO of eCrypt Technologies.
“As eCrypt’s Digital Agency, we were looking for an online privacy show that eCrypt could sponsor,” said Bradley Shende, CEO of M2O Digital Agency. “We discovered a void in the market. There was no such show, so we decided to create it ourselves.”
Mr. Lever continued, “The nature of online media is such that those who create value through compelling content are rewarded with attention and word-of-mouth promotion. Hence, Privacy Now TV is a great opportunity for us to increase recognition, trust, and ultimately, our customer base.”
Hosted by eCrypt’s co-founder Kasia Zukowska, each episode of Privacy Now TV consists of an in-depth editorial segment featuring a current online security or privacy issue or event, as well as a tip segment on how to deal with these issues in their daily lives. Some of the initial topics covered on Privacy Now TV include cyber crime, staying safe online, Facebook privacy, and an introduction to email privacy.
